Freedom of Information Act 2000 – Request for Information

We are pleased to respond to your request for information and our response is set out below:

This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act of 2000.

For each annual quarter starting January 2017 (or the earliest that you hold the relevant data for), I would like to know the following:

1. The number of people, broken down by age category, who you refer for diagnosis with suspected autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Sheffield CCG is a commissioning agency and not a referrer for services.

2. The number of people, broken down by age category, who you diagnose with an additional mental health condition at the same time as referring them for diagnosis with suspected autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Sheffield CCG does not provide the above services.  Please contact Sheffield Children’s hospital for information about children at scn-tr.schfoi@nhs.net, and Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust for Information about Adults (16 year plus) at sth.foi@nhs.net

3. A breakdown of those patients covered by part (2) by the additional mental health condition that they are diagnosed with.

4. The number of people, broken down by age category, who are diagnosed with an additional mental health condition when they are already on the waiting for diagnosis of suspected autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as the result of a referral at a previous appointment.

5. A breakdown of those patients covered by part (4) by the mental health condition that they are diagnosed with.
