We are pleased to respond to your request for information and our response is set out below:

1. Which patient system do your clinicians (GP Practices across the CCG) use to access and manage patient records?

TPP System 1 and EMIS are used within Sheffield Practices.

2. We are interested in understanding, how your organisation/s share patient information for direct care purposes between health and/or social care clinical systems and settings. Which suppliers are in use in your organisation/s to fulfil this purpose? (If any) examples such as Graphnet, Intersystems, MIG, Direct Integration from/between systems such as Emis, TPP, Cerner?

MIG is in use; however this is not commissioned by SCCG.

3. What local care record sharing initiatives exist in your CCG?

Practices are encouraged to share GP records with their partners in the Neighbourhoods / networks to enable patient’s treatments to be effectively managed.

4. How do you share information between clinical systems and settings in other CCG areas?

The CCG does not routinely require clinical data to be shared outside the CCG area.

5. Can you provide details of the current renewal/end date of this/these contract/s?

Sheffield CCG does not directly own or manage any of the contracts for these systems.

6. Who is the main point of contact for this/these contract/s and what is their title and contact details?

Brian Hughes , Director of Commissioning is SIRO – Responsible for IT and GP IT
