Freedom of Information Act 2000 – Request for Information

We are pleased to respond to your request for information and our response is set out below:

Request / Response

I am writing to you to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please could you reply to my e-mail providing the following:

  1. Full name and e-mail address of the ICS mental health clinical lead/programme manager and anyone else responsible for planning and commissioning of mental health services

The South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System (ICS) is not an organisation but a partnership of NHS organisations working with others, such as Local Authorities and the voluntary sector.

Responsibility for local mental health planning and commissioning sits with the Clinical Commissioning Groups across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw - Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Groups.

In addition, specialised mental health services are planned and commissioned by NHS England for the region. These are not available in every local hospital because they have to be delivered by specialist teams of doctors, nurses and other health professionals who have the necessary skills and experience.

  1. ICS mental health lead provider Trust

In addition, whilst the ICS does not have a mental health lead provider trust, the following take the lead across SYB for services that are specialised.

  • Low/Medium Secure Services - Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust
  • Specialised Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS Tier 4) - Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust
  • Eating Disorders - Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust

Partners in the ICS have a set of joint transformation priorities and the Programme Manager working with partners on these is Rachel Gillott (Programme Director, Mental Health Learning Disabilities and Autism) who is responsible for transformation priorities. Her email is Rachel.gillott@nhs.net.
